Emisora Tropical de Oro, broadcasting from Rionegro, Antioquia, Colombia, is a 24-hour tropical radio station that mixes popular merengue, salsa, bachata, and other local rhythms with lively talk segments and community updates. Founded in May 2020 as a passion project to restore tropical dance music year-round—traditionally reserved for December—its tagline is “we are December all year”. Alfredo Gutiérrez, Lisandro Meza, El Combo de las Estrellas, and Diveana are frequent guests. The station promotes local Colombian artists, airs short-form programming and live DJ-led concerts, and is recognized for its upbeat personality and “sabrosura” (joyful groove) atmosphere.
