El Cairo Stereo

El Cairo Stereo is a 24-hour community FM radio station (88.6MHz) located in El Cairo, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Founded on December 7, 1997, it proudly serves rural and mountain communities in the UNESCO-recognized Coffee Cultural Landscape. The station plays a mix of Bachata, Balada, Merengue, Pop, Salsa, Tropical, and Vallenato, as well as locally-focused programming including “Mañanitas Campesinas,” “Salpicón Rumbero,” and “Tardes Crossover”. This mix represents its mission: “community radio made with love for our listeners,” establishing its identity as a “proudly peasant” station with a profound connection to local culture.
